Stamps were first issued in Aden very late in 1937 and only run through to 1963. Not many rare items from this country.

* Investment The 1937 Dhow set is by far the best investment opportunity from the stamps of Aden. Catalogue value of this set is £600 in the 2007 Gibbons, try not to go over £400 for a good buy, must be well centred and very clean. Look out to get the 1953 Queen Elizabeth set in UMM condition before it gets to expensive.

* Tip Collect all Queen Elizabeth high values in good clean used condition, most are well under priced.

King George Vl

Their are some very good stamps to collect from the George Vl period, the very best of them being the Dhow set issued in April 1937. This set is one of the most popular from any Commonwealth country. The set catalogues at about £700 with the very hard to find 10 Rupee at £400 in unmounted mint condition.

Queen Elizabeth ll

The best stamps from the reign of Elizabeth ll are from the 1953-1963 set, the two that stand out are the high value 20/- stamps SG72 and SG72a both catalogue at about £60.
