Welcome to our page on
Bechuanaland Stamps
British Bechuanaland issued its first
stamps in 1885, most of these stamps were from the Cape
of Good Hope or Great Britain and were overprinted with
various forms of the name British Bechuanaland and
values. Some of these stamps are quite
hard to find and are catalogued up to £25,000
each.
Not till 1932 did Bechuanaland
issue their own stamps. These had a
portrait of King George V on them with some cattle at the
bottom of the stamps.

If you
can find any of the early stamps in good mint condition
then buy them, they should prove to be a sound investment
and they also make a very good country to
collect.
