British Guiana
first issued its own stamps in
1850.
All the early
stamps from 1850 till 1876 are hard to find in good mounted
mint condition and all are well worth buying at anything under
catalogue price.
No stamps were
issued with the portraits of Queen Victoria or her son King
Edward V11.
*Collecting window 1850-1962 (best period to
collect)
Nice country to
collect and all the early stamps before 1876 in mint condition
should prove to be a good investment for the
future.

1850-1856 are far too expensive for most people to
collect. It is best to start your collection from 1860
with plenty of nice stamps up until
1900.
