issued in the British Virgin Islands in
1866 and run right through to the present day.

window c1866-1968 (best period
to
collect)
All the
stamps issued between 1867 and 1870 are hard to find in good
condition with prices from about £40 up to £600 for each stamp.
Stamps after 1914 can be brought at good prices in all
conditions quite
easly.
Nice
country to collect with plenty of good stamps, but
not so good for investment
!

Queen
Victoria
The first stamps were issued in 1866,
there are many nice stamps to collect during this
period with the highest value being the 5/- indigo stamp
SG50 which is catalogued at
£70.
King Edward
Vll
Only one set issued during this reign
and that was in 1904 which consisted of 9 stamps with the
top value 5/- SG62 being the rarist, with a value of £48.
The whole set is valued at
£85.
King George
V
Five
sets were issued in the reign of George V, the best being
the 1913-1919 set of 19 stamps, with a combined value of
£95 in mint and £200 in used
condition.
King George
Vl
The best set in this reign is the
1938-1947 set of 12 stamps, with the rarist stamp being
the 5/- carmine SG119, with a value of £50 in mint
condition.
Queen Elizabeth
ll
Two or three nice sets have been
issued during this reign, the best being the 1956-1962
set which is catalogued at £90 for the 13 stamps, with
the 2 high values being the hardest to
find.
