with the 1922-29 set being one of the
best.

Queen
Victoria
The
first stamps were introduced in 1869, the best set of
this period was between 1880-1881 and consisted of 7
stamps with a catalogue value of £2,000 in mint and
£1,500 in used condition. This set had a
watermark crown CC sideways, there is a similar set of 7
stamps with the same dates, these stamps have a
watermark CC upright and this set is valued at £600 in
mint condition.
King Edward
Vll
Three
sets were issued during this reign, the highest value in
any of the three sets is the 3/-, most of the
sets are valued
similarly.
King George
V
Four sets were issued between
1912-1935, the most popular being the 1922-1929 set which
have very nice designs. The 10/- sage green SG142
being the most valuable at £70 mint and £100 in used
condition.
King George
Vl
Only
one set of note was printed between 1938-1952, this being
the 1938-1946 set of 16 stamps, with a total catalogue
value of £100 in mint
condition.
Queen Elizabeth
ll
Just a
couple of nice sets were printed after 1953, the best
being the 1963 bird set of 13 stamps, with an overall
price of £80 in mint condition and £30
used.
