first issued in Gibraltar in 1886

Victoria
The
first stamps were issued in 1886 and consisted of 7
Bermuda stamps overprinted with the words Gibraltar, this
set is catalogued at £1,100 in mint and £700 in
used. Other nice sets came out at frequent
intervals the best being the 1886-1887 set with 7 stamps
catalogued at £550 in mint
condition.
King Edward
Vll
Three
very popular sets from this period the first came out in
1903, with the 4 high values being the most
valuable. The second set was issued in
1904-1908 and consisted of 9 stamps, with the
One Pound being the rarist, with a catalogue value
of £500 in mint and £600 in used. The third set
came out in 1906 and again had 9 stamps, with the 4/- and
8/- easily being the
rarist.
King George
V
Some
nice stamps were issued during this period, the rarist
being the £5 violet/ black SG108, with a value of £1,300
in mint and £4,750 in used condition. Other
stamps from this period worth looking out for, are the
8/- SG101 with a value of £250 in mint and £425 in
used, the One Pound 1925-1932 stamp
SG107 has a used value of £225 and also
the three high values from the 1912-1924
set.

One
nice set from this reign being the 1938-1951 set of 14
stamps, with a catalogue value of £130 in mint
condition, another stamp to note from this
period is SG135 the Silver Wedding £1 stamp, catalogued
at £55 in mint and £70 in
used.
Queen Elizabeth
ll
Two
sets to note, one is the 1953-1959 set of 14 stamps, with
some very nice designs this set has a total value of
£150 in mint condition. The second set to look out
for is the 1960-1962 set of 14 stamps with a total value
£60 in mint
condition.
