Victoria
The
first stamps were issued in 1875, first full set was
printed between 1884-1891 and consisted of nine stamps
with the highest value being the 2/-, catalogued at £80
mint. A very good set came out in 1898 and consisted of
10 stamps with the top value being the 10/-, SG34
catalogued at £150 in mint
condition.
King Edward
Vll
Three
sets were produced in this reign the best being the
first, which came out in 1902 with the top value of
20/- SG48
catalogued at £140 mint and £180 in used
condition.
King George
V
Four
sets were issued during this reign, the best one by far
is the 1921-1924 set of 12 stamps, with two very nice
high values. One being the 15/- with a value of
£150 in mint and £400 in used condition. The second being
the £2 green and orange stamp catalogue at £425 in mint
and £1,100 in used condition, this undoubtedly is the
rarist stamp from the Gold
Coast.
King George Vl
Two
ordinary sets were produced between 1937-1949, neither
are very popular but the best set is the 1938-1944 with
the 5/- being catalogued at
£65.
Queen Elizabeth
ll
Just
one set produced in this reign being the 1952-1954 set of
12 stamps, with a combined catalogued value of £42 in
mint condition.
