Victoria
The
first stamps were issued in 1852 being the "Scinde Dawk"
embossed stamps, with the S3 1/2 Anna scarlet being the
rarist with a catalogue value of £75,000 in mint and
£100,000 in used condition. Other nice stamps were issued
from 1854-1902, the only high values being issued in 1895
with 3 stamps having values from 2 Rupees to 5
Rupees.
King Edward
Vll
Just one set issued from this reign,
this being the 1902-1911 set of 17 stamps with values
from the 3 Pie grey to the 25 Rupee orange and blue. This
stamp is very hard to find in either mint or used
condition, prices for both can be as high as
£900.
King George
V
Two large sets from this period, the first
issued in 1911 and consists of 19 stamps, the rarist
being the 25 Rupee, with a price tag of £190 in mint and
£35 in used condition. The second set was issued
between 1926-1933 and again the 25 Rupee being the
hardest to find, with a price of £110 in mint and £38 in
used
condition.
King George
Vl
The
best set from this period was issued between 1937-1940
and consisted of 18 stamps with the top value being the 25
Rupee with a value of £120 in mint condition.
Another very popular set from this period is the 1948
Gandhi set of 4 stamps which although is only
catalogued at £60,
it always fetches top
price.

Lots of
sets from this period but nothing stands
out.
